Hepatitis B Surface Antibody (HBsAb) greater than 1000 is considered positive for HBs. Whether it is normal or not needs to be judged in conjunction with the results of other hepatitis B programs.
If only Hepatitis B surface antibody is positive, there are two possibilities: the first one is that you have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B and have developed immunity; the second one may be that you have recovered from Hepatitis B virus infection and are also immune.
If hepatitis B surface antibody positivity is accompanied by hepatitis B surface antigen positivity, it suggests an early stage of hepatitis B subclinical infection or secondary infection with a different subtype of hepatitis B virus. If Hepatitis B surface antibody is positive and Hepatitis B e antigen is positive, it indicates subclinical infection or atypical infection of Hepatitis B virus.
The diagnosis should be made by the physician’s judgment in conjunction with the results of the complete Hepatitis B 5 test.
