Recently, we have cured a lot of acne, and last year alone, we estimated that there were about thirty cases. As long as the patient can take the medication consistently, regardless of the severity and length of the disease, basically all can be cured. Not only can they be cured at the time, but they are also less likely to reoccur after stopping the medication. Usually, the effect can be seen within a week of treatment and can be cured within a month or so.
Acne is a minor disease, but because it is an image project, patients are eager to be cured. Yet it is said to be badly cured? Is it easy to reoccur once you stop taking the medication after being cured?
In order to cure acne, we must first know how acne is formed.
I. Causes and mechanisms of acne
The pathogenesis of acne is that the fire is depressed inside and cannot be dispersed. Acne is formed when the fire is dispersed outward through the skin.
Two key words are mentioned here: one is “fire” and the other is “depression”. So how does “fire” come about? And how to “depression” live?
The source of fire: 1, endocrine changes during the development of youth, manifested as liver fire; 2, over-eating fat, sweet and thick taste; 3, emotional discomfort, depression and fire.
How does the fire get depressed? 1.
There are two main types of people who get acne, one is teenagers and the other is middle-aged women. The former accounts for the largest proportion. Both have the same pathogenesis, but the causes are different. The latter is often a result of liver depression and fire.
The basic treatment and prescriptions for acne
Treatment: Fire and depression.
The formula: Chai Hu, Gui Zhi, and Gan Jiang Tang with added flavor: Chai Hu, Gui Zhi, Gan Jiang, Scutellaria, Licorice, Rhizoma, Oyster, Angelica dahurica, Radix et Rhizoma forsythia
The medicine uses Chai Hu, Gui Zhi and Bai Zhi to disperse heat, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Xia Ku Cao and Lian Qiao to clear heat and detoxify the toxins, Smallpox powder to reduce swelling and drain pus, raw oyster to soften hardness and disperse nodules and calm the liver, and dry ginger to warm the spleen and stomach to both help disperse and counteract the bitter cold.
3. Different types of acne and different treatments
There are three common types of acne: one is bright red, swollen and hard, with pus heads, which belongs to Yang sores, where the patient is physically strong; the second is dark and not red, which belongs to Yin sores, where the patient is weak and afraid of cold; the third is between the first two.
For the first type of acne, increase the amount of heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs; for the second type of acne, in addition to using less or no heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs, add drugs that warm the yang and disperse the cold, such as hemp, pseudostellum, and wu huo.
If there are pus nodules, add orris, white mustard seed, soapberry, etc. as appropriate.
Problems that occur during the treatment of acne and how to solve them
When you start taking the medicine, the original acne on your face will soon be healed, but some patients will also have many new acne appear – the reason is that there were some acne under the patient’s skin that did not grow out, and after taking the dispersing herbal medicine, these acne will be developed, which is a good phenomenon – this is the so-called discharge reaction. This is a good phenomenon – this is the so-called discharge reaction. This is a good phenomenon – this is called an exfoliation reaction. This kind of acne comes out quickly and heals quickly.
This phenomenon of “the more you treat it, the worse it gets” may occur, so it is important to tell the patient in advance, otherwise the patient will think you are treating it badly and will complain and give up treatment.
V. Prognosis of treatment
After the treatment is completed, as long as the patient pays attention to avoiding the causes of the disease, he or she will not commit the disease again.
Sixth, common mistakes in acne treatment
The most common mistake in acne treatment is to use too much bitter-cold medicine.
It is generally believed that acne is heat or fire, so treatment is done with a large number of drugs that clear heat and detoxify the body, drain heat and pass down the blood, and cool the blood, resulting in the fire being depressed by the cold. Although the symptoms were reduced when the medicine was taken, they relapsed as soon as the medicine was stopped. It is because taking the bitter cold medicine only suppressed the symptoms, the disease was not cured.
