Osteoporosis One-Minute Risk Test

  The International Osteoporosis Foundation presents the Osteoporosis One-Minute Risk Quiz: 1. Have you suffered a hip fracture due to a minor fall or collision?  2. Have you suffered any other fractures due to minor falls or collisions?  3. If you are a woman, did you stop menstruating before the age of 45?  4.Did women stop menstruating for more than 12 months except for pregnancy?  5.Do men have impotence, decreased libido or other symptoms of reduced testosterone levels?  6.Have you taken corticosteroids (e.g. cortisone, prednisone) for more than 6 months?  7. Has height decreased by more than 5 cm? 8. Has alcohol been consumed more often than the allowed limit?  9, Do you have a history of diarrhea (such as celiac disease or Crohn’s disease)?  10. Do you smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day?  If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, there is a possible risk of osteoporosis and you should consult with the relevant doctor as soon as possible to carry out the necessary tests and take preventive and curative measures without losing time.
