NSAIDs may be preferred for gout patients, such as celecoxib, diclofenac sodium, loxoprofen sodium, and meloxicam, which have a faster onset of action, relatively few side effects, and may have gastrointestinal irritation. In case of acute gout attack, colchicine can be used, which has greater gastrointestinal side effects than NSAIDs. If gout patients cannot tolerate NSAIDs and colchicine, glucocorticoids, such as dexamethasone and prednisone tablets, can be used. Glucocorticoids have relatively more side effects. At the same time, for gout patients, strict dietary control is required to try to prevent the occurrence and development of gout.
