Interventional radiology has opened up a new path for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma, and its clinical application efficacy has gradually been recognized by clinicians and patients. Vascular intervention refers to selective hepatic artery chemoembolization, while non-vascular intervention refers to image-guided physico-chemical ablation and radioactive particle implantation, etc. The main methods are vascular and non-vascular interventions. Hepatic artery chemoembolization refers to placing the catheter in the tumor blood supply artery and embolizing the tumor vascular bed with a mixture of chemotherapeutic drugs and iodinated oil. Direct puncture tumor ablation includes physical ablation (radiofrequency, microwave) and chemical ablation (anhydrous ethanol injection).
