Lithotripsy treatment for urolithiasis

  Indications for lithotripsy: 1. stones less than 6mm in diameter; 2. smooth surface of stones; 3. no obstruction in the urinary tract below the stones; 4. stones not causing complete obstruction in the urinary tract and staying in the local area for less than 2 weeks; 5. lithotripsy recommended for certain special components of stones, such as uric acid stones and cystine stones; 6. adjuvant therapy after percutaneous nephrolithoscopy, ureteroscopic lithotripsy and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.  2. Lithotripsy methods: 1. Maintain a daily urine volume of more than 2000ml.  2. For ureteral stones suitable for stone removal treatment, indomethacin suppositories (can relieve pain, reduce ureteral local edema caused by the stimulation of stone retention and promote stone discharge), tamsulosin hydrochloride (selective relaxation of ureteral smooth muscle and promote stone removal), etc. can be chosen.  3.Chinese medicine treatment: The treatment is mainly to clear heat and dampness, diuretic and laxative, and supplemented with qi and blood circulation, softening and dispersing. Commonly used formulas such as Bazheng San, Si Wei San, San Jin Stone Drainage Soup, and herbs in water as tea.  4.Lithotripsy: recommended for uric acid stones and cystine stones. For uric acid stones, take allopurinol, sodium potassium bicarbonate or sodium bicarbonate orally to control the blood uric acid concentration and alkalize the urine to maintain the urine pH value of 6.5-6.8. For cystine stones, take sodium potassium bicarbonate or sodium bicarbonate orally to alkalize the urine to maintain the urine pH value above 7.  5. Appropriate body position and exercise: including inversion, lying to the healthy side and patting the back (for kidney stones), and appropriate bouncing (for ureteral stones, but not suitable for the elderly and those with mobility problems).
