How many days does a milk break usually take?

The duration of the hiatus depends on the individual case and may take several days or even months to recover. Milk hiatus is a period of time when milk suddenly becomes less and without any other symptoms, usually occurs about 3 months after delivery and usually lasts for a short period of time. Whether or not a milk hiatus occurs and how long it lasts depends on the individual’s physical condition, mood, stress, poor nutrition and other factors. Therefore, there is no specific duration of milk hiatus. Most women can return to normal after positive adjustment, usually in about 1 week, but a few women may take several months to recover due to prolonged emotional depression that cannot be relieved. When breastfeeding hiatus occurs, it is recommended that mothers should make physical and psychological adjustments, maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, pay attention to rest, get enough sleep, exercise actively and avoid straining.
