Is it possible to have a normal pregnancy after a gravida?

Generally, staph is confined to the uterine cavity, which is called benign staph; there are also some staph that invade the myometrium and even metastasize more distantly, which is called malignant staph. The incidence of staphyloma is calculated by the number of pregnancies since it is closely related to pregnancy and would not have occurred in the absence of pregnancy. It can occur in all gestational age groups, from the literature, the youngest is 16 years old and the oldest is 56 years old; the incidence is higher in women over 40 years old. The incidence of recurrent hyperemesis is higher in women over 40 years of age. The incidence of repeat gravida is 0.5%-12.5%, which is significantly higher than the incidence of first-time gravida. Some people have 2, 3, or more repeat cases. The interval between recurrent staphs is usually between l-2 years, but there are cases of up to 15 years. The chance of malignancy is not high and can be cured by curettage. As with first-time staph, some of them become malignant later. Because staphyloma is a curable disease and there are no serious sequelae after treatment, regular check-ups at the hospital after treatment can be performed as normal if there is no sign of malignancy and you can still get pregnant again. There have been several reports of normal pregnancies and full-term deliveries after repeat gravida, and normal babies were born. A small number of patients who have had a repeat gravida develop malignancy, called malignant gravida or erosive gravida. Therefore, close follow-up and regular checkups should be performed after having a staph. In addition to an enlarged uterus, the chorionic gonadotropin in the blood is significantly elevated when malignancy occurs. This is often difficult to distinguish from early pregnancy. Therefore, in the past, doctors often advised patients to use contraception for 2 years, but nowadays, ultrasound or color ultrasound can accurately see the embryo sac of early pregnancy, which will not be confused with malignant gravida, so it is not necessary to use contraception for 2 years after having gravida. The possibility of having another child after a malignant gravida depends on the patient’s specific situation. If you have good results after treatment, you can keep your uterus and you can still get pregnant later; if the uterine lesions are huge or diffuse and the chemotherapy is not effective, you will have to remove the uterus, so of course you will lose your fertility. The good thing is that the majority of people suffering from malignant hyperemesis have a good chemotherapy effect, and there are many people who can have children again after being cured. In Beijing Union Medical College Hospital, the children born to patients with malignant staphyloma after several courses of chemotherapy have been followed up for a long time, and some of them have grown up and their growth and intelligence are no different from those of healthy people. Therefore, most of the patients can still have a happy family after they have had staphylococcal fetus and can be assured of pregnancy and delivery.
