1. Good evening, all experts and professors, colleagues and students! I remember when I was in college, I often heard my classmates and teachers say that Professor so-and-so would use Xiao Chai Hu Tang and was known as Professor Xiao Chai Hu Tang, but later I always disdained this so-called Xiao Chai Hu Tang professors, believing that Chinese medicine is all about evidence-based treatment, and it is impossible to cure a disease with a single Xiao Chai Hu Tang. However, in the course of long-term clinical use of medicine, I did realize that in reality, the “Xiao Chai Hu Tang” professor may indeed exist. If you can use a formula flexibly and well, it is very impressive. Well, back to the topic, I will now share with you some of my experiences in the clinical use of warm bile soup. 2, below, I first I briefly introduce the warm gallbladder soup 3, now there are several different versions of warm gallbladder soup, the use of some different drugs. 4, trace its origin, warm gall bladder soup first came from the “secret recipe of wai tai” of wang tao in the tang dynasty “collection of experimental formula” consists of ginger, half summer, bamboo rhizome, citrus aurantium, Chenpi and roasted licorice. Among them, Hanxia, Zhuru and Hovenia are each 2 taels, orange peel is 3 taels, ginger is 4 taels and licorice is 1 tael. Of course, in the course of our review, we found that many articles wrote that the formula came from Sun Simiao’s “Thousand Gold Formula”. I also saw the same on the Internet. 5, in the “Collection of Experimental Formula” there is this description “after treating a major illness, false annoyance can not sleep, this bile cold, it is also appropriate to take warm gallbladder soup formula” 6, the later generation of warm gallbladder soup contains different prescriptions and medicines. The formula for warming gall bladder soup of the Song dynasty medical doctor Chen Yan is represented by the formula for warming gall bladder soup of the “three causes of extreme one disease evidence”, which consists of 2 taels each of Han Xia, Zhu Ru and Hovenia, 3 taels of orange peel, 2 taels of roasted licorice, 1.5 taels of white poria, 5 slices of ginger and 1 jujube, which is more than that of the “Secret Essentials of Wai Tai”, with an increase of white poria and jujube and a decrease of ginger. 7, and in the new second edition of “Formulary” used by undergraduate students is the same grouping of warm gallbladder soup in “Three Causes of Extreme One Disease Evidence Formulary”. It is used for treating biliary depression and phlegm disturbance. It is manifested in patients with bile and easy to be frightened, troubled heart and sleeplessness, and many strange dreams at night; vomiting, vomiting, dizziness, epilepsy, etc., while the tongue coating is white and greasy and the pulse is stringent and slippery. 8. Later medical practitioners have come up with a number of formulas according to the variations of Wenzhi Tang. 9, such as Huang Lian Wen Bile Tang, this formula from the Qing Dynasty Lu Tingzhen’s “six causes of the article of defense”, is based on the “three causes of the extreme a disease evidence formula” contained in the warm bile soup, remove the jujube, add Huang Lian and become. The main function of Huang Lian Wen Bile Tang is to remove dryness, resolve phlegm, clear heat and remove annoyance. It can treat many diseases caused by internal disturbance of phlegm and heat. All the diseases treated by this formula have a common pathogenetic feature: emotional and mental factors, so the clinical manifestations of emotional and mental abnormalities are mostly seen. 10.There is also a variation of Warm Gall Bladder Tang, Artemisia Scutellaria Qing Gall Bladder Tang in the Revision of the Common Theory of Typhoid Fever. Warm Gall Bladder Tang with Artemisia, Huang Lian, Qing Dai, Slippery Rock and Glycyrrhiza glabra is mainly used to treat 1. The evidence of this formula is based on the identification of cold with mild heat, bitterness in the mouth and stuffiness in the diaphragm, distension and pain in the chest, vomiting of acid and bitter water, greasy tongue coating and number of pulse. 2. 11. There is also the Ten Flavors Warming Gallbladder Soup in the “World Medical Divine Effect Formula”, which is composed of several herbs such as Ginseng, Shu Di, Wu Wei Zi, Yuan Zhi and Sour Date Palm on the basis of Warming Gallbladder Soup, and it has the effect of benefiting Qi and nourishing Blood, resolving phlegm and tranquilizing the heart. Key points of identification This formula is a common formula for treating insomnia, palpitation, vomiting due to bile-depression and phlegm disturbance as well as vertigo and epilepsy. Clinical application is based on the key points of identification of disturbance of the heart with sleeplessness, vomiting with vertigo, white greasy coating and slippery pulse. 12. From the above, it can be seen that the efficacy of Wenzhi Tang was highly affirmed and respected in later times. Later medical practitioners have also commented on the name and functions of Wenzhi Tang as follows. 13, Ye Tianshi in the “Treatise on Warm Fever” has this description “Qi disease has not transmitted blood, but the evil stays in the Sanjiao, also like the Shaoyang disease in typhoid fever, he is reconciling the half of the table, this is divided into the elimination of the upper and lower potential, such as warm gallbladder soup of walking drainage.” 14, the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Bingcheng in the “into the convenience of reading” said: Zhang Bingcheng “into the convenience of reading”: “bile for the A wood, its image should be spring, now the bile deficiency that can not be to its growth hair Chen order, so the earth to get wood and up to those, because wood depression and not up to carry on. The earth does not reach the phlegm is easy to produce, phlegm is the mother of all diseases, where the deficiency, that is, where the evil, so there are panic and palpitations of the symptoms. Er Chen, bamboo, Citrus aurantium, ginger, and stomach and open phlegm, break the gas and open the depression of the product, there is no warm gallbladder medicine, and the name of the formula to warm gallbladder, but also to gallbladder stomach A wood, often want it to get the spring temperature and the intention of the ear.” 15, “named warm, is said to be mild warm, not warm and cool warm.” Luo Dongyi in the “Medical Zong Jin Jian” so described. 16, the Qing dynasty, Wang Jin San in the “ancient formula selected notes” also said: “warm gallbladder soup, the internal organs to seek treatment of the formula. Heat into the wood of the foot Shaoyang, bile gas cross-reverse, moving in the stomach and vomiting, bitterness and sleeplessness, is the treatment of the hand Shaoyang Sanjiao, wanting its side through the bile gas, retreating heat for warmth, and become not cold and not dry body, not cold and warm with bile.” . 17, the Qing dynasty, Chen Xiuyuan in the “time formula song” also has “heat to remove phlegm clear and bile from the peace, that is, warm. The one who warms is also cold.” The record. After so many overviews, I will talk about my own clinical application experience. Wenzhi Tang can be used to treat a variety of diseases, such as cardiovascular system diseases, digestive system diseases, endocrine system and some difficult miscellaneous diseases. After years of clinical application I have experienced a lot, especially through the years I have paid special attention to it, combined with the recently reviewed literature, is summarized as follows. 19.First of all, warm bile soup can be used to treat cardiovascular system diseases: such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, viral myocarditis and cardiac neurosis. 20.First, let’s look at warm bile soup for coronary heart disease. Coronary heart disease is a common and frequent clinical disease. How to use warm bile soup to treat coronary heart disease? As long as the patient has chest tightness and thick and greasy coating, he can be treated with Warm Gallbladder Soup combined with Gua Gua Bai Bai Bai Wine Soup. Chinese medicine is very advantageous in treating coronary heart disease, and the focus used to be on blood stasis, qi deficiency and blood stasis or cold clotting, but in clinical practice, there are not a few coronary heart diseases caused by phlegm, so coronary heart disease can be treated from phlegm theory. However, it is important to grasp the manifestations of greasy tongue and slippery pulse, chest tightness and pain, mucousy mouth and dullness, fat shape and phlegm, especially the greasy coating is most important. 21, as for the addition and subtraction is also particularly important, which, calamus with yujin, calamus, yujin two drugs can treat phlegm and heat obscuring the heart due to fever and dizziness. However, calamus aromatic and dry, the function of phlegm to open the orifice and calm the mind, dampness and appetite, yujin pungent and bitter drainage, cold and clear heat, both into the blood, but also into the air, both blood pain, but also cool the blood to stop bleeding; can also clear the heart and gallbladder. The combination of the two drugs can have the effect of relieving depression, resolving blood stasis and resolving phlegm. There is also Allium sativum which must be used with wine as a medicine, because its main components are only soluble in ethanol, not in water. However, there are some views that Guaougu Allium Bai Baijiu Tang contains white wine, and recent medical practitioners believe that those who can drink wine can add a little (30-60ml) as a primer at their discretion, and those who cannot drink wine can be exempted from using white wine. 22, warm gall bladder soup can also be used to treat hypertension, manifesting as dizziness, irritability, gastric and epigastric distension, red tongue, petechiae, yellowish greasy moss, tortuous veins under the tongue, sunken pulse, phlegm and stasis, heart ligament damage evidence, can be used to dispel phlegm and eliminate stasis, clear the liver and open the ligament treatment, with warm gall bladder soup combined with Siwu Tang plus or minus, 23, can be on the basis of the above, add Xia Gu Cao, chrysanthemum and mother of pearl to calm the liver, seaweed, Lycopodium, The medicine such as zedoary, raw keel and raw oyster increase its power of expectorant. 24, there is another disease in cardiovascular disease is cardiac phytonadic disorder, patients who come to our clinic, this disease, the patient will be manifested as palpitations, accompanied by chest tightness and chest pain, sweating and dizziness, loss of appetite, irritability, dark red tongue, yellow greasy moss, slippery pulse. In Chinese medicine, the patient can be identified as having phlegm and fire disturbing the heart and restlessness of the mind, and the treatment of clearing heat and resolving phlegm, calming the heart and tranquilizing the mind can be used, and warm bile soup can also be used. 25, and in warm bile soup to remove the half summer, ginger, licorice and jujube to avoid its warm dry nourishing, and add calamus and tulip to dispel phlegm to open the heart; Chuanxiong into the heart meridian, Dan Shen into the liver meridian, to nourish the heart and hide blood, 26, the heart and mind restlessness, plus pearl mother of pearl and grass cassia to calm the liver. 27, arrhythmia belongs to the category of “palpitation” and “palpitation”. If the symptoms are palpitations, chest tightness and irritability, red tongue with yellow coating, slippery pulse and irregular pulse, then it is due to phlegm-heat (fire) stagnation and disturbance of the heart and mind, so the main purpose is to clear heat and phlegm, remove fire and detoxify, and calm the heart and mind. 28, Guaouhu and Tianzhu Huang clear heat, resolve phlegm, broaden the chest and relieve qi; Shi Calamus and Yuanzhi open the orifices and awaken the mind; raw dragon’s tooth calms and calms the mind. 29. To dispel blood stasis, we can add the herbal pair of Shi Wei and Chuan Xiong, of which Chuan Xiong is a meridian inducer and is used in combination with Shi Wei to elevate and lower the Qi flow as a herbal remedy for palpitations. This is something I read in a book, and at first I was surprised that in the textbook, Shi Wei has the ability to induce diuresis and clear lung and drain heat. It mainly treats gonorrhea, blood in urine, urinary tract stones, nephritis, collapse, dysentery, lung-heating cough, chronic bronchitis, golden sores, carbuncles, etc. However, why it can be used here is to take its effect of dampness and expectoration, right? You can also add whole guavas and raw oysters to this base to dispel phlegm 30, warm gall bladder soup can also be used to treat viral myocarditis: viral myocarditis in Chinese medicine, belongs to the “warm disease”, “palpitations”, “palpitations”, “baffled “The clinical features are: wind-heat and poisonous evil invade the lung or damp-heat invade the intestine and stomach, resulting in the loss of propagation of the lung and the spleen, the poisonous evil does not resolve and stays in the heart, which is unable to control the blood and stagnates the blood vessels; phlegm and dampness accumulate and turn into heat, and the heat and phlegm injure the qi-yin Therefore, the clinical evidence is based on the internal deficiency of phlegm and heat as the standard, and the deficiency of the heart’s yin and yang qi and blood as the stupid, which is the evidence of the original deficiency and the standard reality, and the disease is located in the heart. 31. Therefore, the treatment should be to regulate qi and strengthen the spleen, to clear phlegm and heat, and to tranquilize the heart and tranquilize the mind. In this formula, Huang Lian and Scutellariae are bitter and cold to relieve fire, clear the heart and remove irritation; Dan Shen invigorates the blood and nourishes the blood; Huang Qi benefits the qi and consolidates the surface, holding the toxin out, and is combined with Dan Shen to harmonize the Ying and Wei. 32, Secondly, Wenzhi Tang can also be used to treat digestive system diseases: such as chronic gastritis, bile reflux gastritis, reflux esophagitis, alcoholic liver disease, etc. 33, Chronic gastritis belongs to the category of “gastric pain” and “pang evidence” in Chinese medicine, and is considered to be related to poor diet, emotional and mental disorders, cold and temperature imbalance, and weakness of the spleen and stomach. The general pathogenesis is that the stomach is not in harmony with the qi, the qi is stagnant, and it is not in harmony with the descending, the ligament is dense and urgent, and if it does not pass, it is painful. Clinically, there is a mixture of deficiency and reality, with a mixture of cold and heat. The treatment should be a combination of cold and heat, with both diarrhea and tonics, to regulate the qi and stomach, and to dissipate lumps and knots. Pain in the stomach and abdomen. If it is accompanied by cold aggravation, vomiting and acidity, poor food intake, loose stools, red tongue with white greasy coating and sunken pulse, the evidence belongs to dampness and dampness, treatment is to regulate qi and dampness, clear the stomach and spleen, can use warm gall bladder soup + calamus yujin tang + gold bell seed powder. 34, For low stomach acidity, add Cornus officinalis and Paeonia lactiflora; for liver and stomach disharmony with pain involving the dorsal ribs, add Radix Bupleurum and Paeonia lactiflora; for high stomach acidity, add Aconite Bone and Fructus zhebeiensis; for severe pain, add Yanhuosuo, Neem and Paeonia lactiflora; for insomnia, add Shouwu Vine and Huxley Bark. 35, bile reflux gastritis: bile reflux gastritis, also known as alkaline reflux gastritis, belongs to the endogenous chemical inflammation, which can be seen in both acute gastritis and chronic gastritis, is due to gastric, duodenal and gallbladder disease resulting in incomplete closure of the pylorus, bile-based alkaline duodenal fluid (including bile, pancreatic juice and duodenal contents) flow back into the stomach from above, where bile salts and phospholipase A and other chemicals can reduce the mucosal barrier function of the stomach and esophagus, thus making them susceptible to damage by gastric juice and pepsin, leading to congestion, edema, and erosion of the gastric mucosa and even the lower esophagus, which can also cause bleeding in severe cases. Biliary reflux gastritis is associated with burning pain in the stomach and epigastric region, fullness, belching, and changes in the coordinated motor function of the gallbladder. Biliary reflux gastritis belongs to the categories of “gastric pain”, “vomiting”, “gastric regurgitation” and “abdominal distension” in Chinese medicine. It is related to the spleen, stomach, liver and gallbladder. It is related to the spleen, stomach, liver and gallbladder, and the key to the pathogenesis is the deficiency of the root and the symptoms of the symptoms, and the mixture of deficiency and reality. This deficiency is due to the lack of healthy movement of the spleen and abnormal elevation; the symptoms are due to the disharmony of the liver and stomach, rebellion of stomach qi, internal dampness and heat, and stasis of the stomach ligament. Treatment is based on the principles of soothing the liver and regulating qi, harmonizing the stomach and lowering the rebellion, and treating both the symptoms and the root cause. Main symptoms: Burning sensation under the jaws, distension and pain in the stomach and epigastrium, vomiting and acidity, poor appetite, dizziness and headache, chest tightness and palpitation, red tongue with white greasy coating, sunken pulse. The treatment is to dispel phlegm and clear heat, regulate qi and relieve pain, and can be treated with Wenzhi Tang + Jinlingzi San. 36.The formula uses Wenzhiang Tang with Lianxiao for clearing the heart, Chrysanthemum for clearing the liver and Huangbai for clearing the phase, and Coix seeds and Plantago lanceolata for relieving dampness. 37.Excluding phlegm, we still use calamus, mucuna pruriens and yujin to move qi, while raw oyster can control acid and soften hardness. 38, alcoholic liver disease is due to long-term heavy drinking caused by liver disease, the initial performance is usually fatty liver, which can develop into alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic liver fibrosis and alcoholic cirrhosis, severe alcohol abuse can induce extensive hepatocellular necrosis or even liver failure. In recent years, the incidence of this disease has a significant upward trend. 39, in the conventional abstinence from smoking, alcohol, low-fat, high-protein diet based on the addition of warm bile soup plus or minus formula with Huang Lian heat, chicken naijin to eliminate alcohol accumulation, angelica, Dan Shen, powdered kudzu blood circulation and remove blood stasis. 40, metabolic endocrine diseases: such as metabolic syndrome, type II diabetes mellitus also have indications for warm bile soup. 41.Metabolic syndrome: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a syndrome in which multiple cardiovascular risk factors such as central obesity, diabetes or impaired glucose regulation, hypertension and dyslipidemia are clustered in individuals, with insulin resistance as the common pathophysiological basis and central obesity as an important feature. It is a risk factor for abnormal glucose metabolism and cardiovascular diseases, and is a type of disease that exists widely in the society at present. The clinical symptoms are common: obesity, drowsiness, fatigue, laziness, dry mouth, dizziness, or pain, skin and mucous membrane petechiae, skin nail error, purple tongue or petechiae. 42, The basic formula is: warm gall bladder soup with Huang Lian, 10g of Scutellaria baicalensis, 10g of Lycopodium, 10g of raw hawthorn, 10g of Chuanxiong rhizome, 20g of smallpox powder. 43, Type II diabetes mellitus is mostly caused by poor diet, vegetative yin deficiency, and emotional disorders, resulting in deficiency of lung, stomach, and kidney, and developing into thirst. Insulin resistance is a pathological concept in modern medicine, which is not yet recognized in ancient Chinese medicine, but the research on insulin resistance in Chinese medicine has become more active in recent decades, and the analysis of the relevance of insulin resistance in Chinese medicine shows that it is closely related to “phlegm”, “stasis” and “toxicity”. “Toxicity” is closely related. According to Chinese medicine, “phlegm” and “stasis” are both pathological products of certain pathological states and pathogenic factors of many diseases. The pathogenic factors of diabetes such as obesity, poor diet, emotional and mental disorders, excessive labor and fatigue, as well as the deficiency of qi in long term illness can directly or indirectly lead to the formation of phlegm and stasis, thus leading to phlegm and stasis internal obstruction, phlegm blocking the qi mechanism, stasis blocking the blood channels, malfunction of qi and blood, dysfunction of the internal organs, water and grain essence cannot be distributed throughout the body and the disease develops. Treatment should be based on drying dampness and resolving phlegm, activating blood circulation and resolving blood stasis. 44.On the basis of warm gall bladder soup, add Huanglian to clear the heart and remove irritation; Danshen, leech and peach kernel to invigorate blood circulation and remove blood stasis and promote circulation. The whole formula works together to dispel phlegm and resolve blood stasis. 45.Warm Bile Tang can also treat hyperlipidemia patients with fatigue, vague pain in the right upper abdomen, obesity, mucus in the mouth, dizziness, abdominal distension, numbness in the limbs, chest tightness, fat tongue with petechiae, petechiae, sublingual static, tortuous blue pulse, sunken or sunken astringent pulse. The diagnosis belongs to deficiency of the spleen and loss of health, with internal accumulation of phlegm and turbidity. The treatment is to strengthen the spleen and dispel phlegm, move Qi and relieve pain. 46.On the basis of Warm Gallbladder Soup, add Zedoary, Che Qian Zi and Cao Ding Ming to give a way out for dampness by dividing the two stools; then add Hawthorn, Dan Shen and Chicken Blood Vine to treat phlegm and blood stasis together. 47.Wen bile Tang can also be used in the treatment of gynecological diseases such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, breast enlargement and menopausal syndrome. 48, Let’s first look at ovarian cysts, insomnia, chest tightness with phlegm, heavy head and swirling eyes, bitter mouth, belching and generalized evil, red tongue with yellowish greasy coating and slippery pulse. The evidence belongs to phlegm-dampness, blood stasis and damp-heat infusion. The treatment is to dry dampness and resolve phlegm, invigorate blood and remove blood stasis. 49. Based on the formula of warming gall bladder soup, we added that the formation of ovarian cysts is related to emotion, so we used calamus and yujin to adjust the patient’s emotion, and used mountain cichlid mushroom to eliminate the cysts. 50. Chicken’s blood vine and yujin are commonly used as effective medicinal pairs for diseases of the ovaries and their adnexa. Chicken’s blood vine can tonify the blood, invigorate it, open the ligaments and relieve pain. The two drugs together are effective for pain in gynecological diseases, especially pain on both sides of the abdomen. 51. The second disease is hyperplasia in which the patient presents with breast swelling and pain, poor nausea, bad breath, bitterness in the mouth, dark menstruation, red tongue, yellowish greasy coating, slippery pulse, which is identified as phlegm and blood stasis intertwined, toxic to the breast ligaments. 52; Goldbell seeds disperses Qi. 54.When uterine fibroids present with early menstruation, large amount, red color, thick texture, poor circulation, chest tightness, floating of both lower extremities, etc., the symptoms are identified as phlegm and stasis blocking the ligaments, and the flushing of the ligaments is not solid. 55.Add raw oyster and dandelion on the basis of warm gall bladder soup to soften the phlegm and clear the ligaments; mulberry white peel, zelen and carthamus to promote water retention and eliminate swelling, and to distribute the dampness. 56.Persons with menopausal syndrome, menstrual disorders, dizziness, bitter and sticky mouth, numbness of limbs, irritability, swelling and pain in lower limbs, fat tongue with petechiae, petechiae, tortuous and bruised veins under the tongue, and sunken or sunken pulse. The symptoms are liver-stomach disharmony and phlegm-stasis obstruction. 57. Menopausal syndrome is mostly treated from kidney deficiency, but some patients can also be diagnosed with liver-stomach disharmony and phlegm-stasis obstruction, which is manifested by the above symptoms and tongue and pulse. In addition to Jin Ling Zi San to move Qi, and Chicken Blood Vine Lao He Cao to relieve pain, especially lumbago. 58, Citrus aurantium with Chai Hu to harmonize the liver and stomach, and Yin Chen, Ze Di and Coix Seed to lightly percolate and relieve dampness and subdue swelling. 59.In addition, Wenzhi Tang can also treat some other pathologies. Such as insomnia, depression and edema. 60.First, let’s look at insomnia. Insomnia: Insomnia belongs to the category of “sleeplessness” in Chinese medicine, which refers to a condition characterized by frequent failure to obtain normal sleep. The main clinical manifestations are: ① difficulty in falling asleep, more than 0.5-1h still can not fall asleep; ② can not sleep well; ③ waking up early, can not fall back to sleep after waking up; ④ dreamy, spell from the nightmare awakened, feel like dreaming all night; ⑤ accompanied by symptoms of fatigue, restlessness, general discomfort, listlessness, slow reaction, headache, inattention; ⑥ onset time can be long or short, short days can be improved, long lasting for several days It is difficult to recover. It is customary to consider sleep disorders of more than 3 consecutive weeks as insomnia. Synthetic sedative and hypnotic drugs are used, but patients can develop varying degrees of psychological dependence, rebound insomnia and chronic toxic symptoms after taking a large amount of sleeping pills for a long time. If insomnia is accompanied by chest tightness and phlegm, head heaviness and eye rotation, bitterness in the mouth, belching and generalized evil, red tongue, yellow and greasy coating, and slippery pulse. If the evidence belongs to mutual obstruction of phlegm and stasis and disturbance of the heart and mind, we can use dry dampness to resolve phlegm and activate blood circulation to resolve stasis. 61, can be added on the basis of warm gall bladder soup; Huang Lian and Bile South Star clear heat, dry dampness and resolve phlegm; Wu Wei Zi sour and sweet to transform Yin, help Han Xia converge Yang into Yin; Sour Date Seed nourish Liver and Blood, calm the mind; Lily and Mother of Pearl cool Blood, clear heat and remove annoyance and calm the mind. 62, depression is a mental disorder characterized by significant depression, often accompanied by corresponding changes in thinking and behavior, manifested by persistent depressed mood, melancholy, poor mood, anxiety, agitation, fear, insomnia, memory loss, negative thinking, pessimism and self-blame, low self-esteem, slow action, loss of energy, lack of interest and vitality, listlessness, physical and mental exhaustion, disinterest in things around , no enthusiasm for work. Now depression to become the world’s second highest incidence, and easy to relapse, now the global average of 100 people in 3 people circumnavigating depression. Depression is not only a serious threat to the physical health of patients, but also a heavy mental and economic burden to the patient’s family. Western antidepressants to treat depression are mostly due to large adverse reactions, and poor compliance of patients with medication, making it difficult to complete the full course of treatment. Chinese medicine has a long history of treating depression, with many methods, good results and few adverse reactions, which are easily accepted by patients. 63. Although there is no name for depression in Chinese medicine, similar descriptions are found in the chapters of “depression evidence”, “dirty mania evidence” and “epilepsy evidence”. If the depression is caused by excessive mental burden, the general rule of soothing the liver and regulating qi is adopted, but when the soothing of the liver and regulating qi is ineffective, the liver is responsible for draining, the qi is regulated and the fluids run normally. The main pathogenesis of this disease is that phlegm and stasis are blocking the clear orifices. 64.On the basis of warm gall bladder soup, add calamus and yujin to dispel dampness and open the orifice, salvia to invigorate blood circulation and resolve blood stasis, and rhubarb to clear heat and pass down. Finally, in clinical practice, we may encounter some patients with edema of the face and lower extremities, stuffiness in the chest and epigastrium, poor appetite, weakness, excessive dreaming, short, red urine and dry stools, red tongue, yellow, thick and greasy tongue coating, and pale purple veins under the tongue, which are identified as internal damp-heat and congestion of the three jiao. Treatment can be to clear heat and dampness, and to clear the diarrhea. Wenzhi Tang + San Ren Tang is recommended. Among them, Xianhecao tonifies Qi and Blood and increases propulsion; Quan Guaguaguajou clears heat and dispels phlegm and clears the upper jiao of water; 67, Che Qianzi, Lycopodium and Cao Dingming make damp-heat go away from the second stool and clear the lower jiao of water; Jinlingzi San regulates Qi and clears the lower jiao of water.
