Common precautions after liver cancer intervention

Interventional therapy is a kind of treatment with relatively less damage to human body. Many patients with liver cancer who are inoperable and can hardly afford other treatments often choose interventional therapy. Patients with liver cancer need to pay attention to the following points after interventional therapy: 1. Liver function review is very important because interventional therapy is a local treatment for liver, including chemotherapy drugs and embolic agents, which may have some impact on liver function. Usually, after the liver function has recovered to a certain state, you can be discharged from the hospital, and after discharge, the doctor will let the patient take oral medication to protect liver function again as a rule. There are many factors that affect liver function, so it is important to review liver function regularly, especially about two weeks after discharge. Interventional therapy is not a one-time treatment, but often requires repeated treatments. Therefore, timely imaging review is needed after interventional therapy to assess whether a second treatment is needed immediately or to adjust the treatment plan; 2. For example, patients with liver cancer should eat soft foods as much as possible and avoid hard, high fiber or rough foods. In addition, spicy and stimulating foods and carbonated beverages should be avoided as much as possible. 3. Many liver cancer patients have a history of hepatitis B. The control of hepatitis B virus is also a very important part in preventing recurrence of liver cancer and postoperative liver cancer. This is normal and a sign of effective treatment. If the fever or high fever does not subside for a long time, patients need to go to the hospital for follow-up to rule out other conditions.
