The development rate of liver cancer is directly related to the pathological type of liver cancer, the degree of differentiation and the size of tumor, whether there are lymph node metastasis and whether there are metastasis of surrounding organs, as well as to the patient’s autoimmune ability and the patient’s mentality. If it is a small liver cancer, less than 3cm, the tumor can be completely eradicated through surgery or interventional treatment. Because liver cancer mostly occurs on the basis of cirrhosis, therefore, it is easy to recur. However, the current treatments, such as intervention, embolization and ablation, can be performed with less damage to patients and can be repeated many times, which can prolong the life of liver cancer patients. For tumors larger than 5cm, they are mostly accompanied by venous metastasis and lymph node metastasis, so they develop faster, however, they can also be treated by interventional therapy, which can delay the life of patients.
