How to treat infantile hemangioma

Infantile hemangioma treatment includes topical topical beta-blockers, laser therapy, and vascular sclerotherapy injections, whose main goal is to inhibit the proliferation of vascular endothelium.

The treatment of hemangioma is based on the size of the growth site and the presence of complications to develop different treatment plans after risk assessment. In case of moderate risk, small and thin lesions in the early stage of hemangioma can be treated with topical beta-blockers or with pulsed laser therapy.

If the location of the hemangioma is more specific, such as in the oral cavity or deeper skin surface location, vascular sclerotherapy or other anti-tumor drugs can be chosen.

Specific treatments should be determined after consultation and evaluation by a specialist, and should not be self-medicated.
