Can thyroid nodules cause dizziness?

Whether a thyroid nodule causes dizziness in patients depends on the size of the patient’s thyroid nodule, the specific location, and whether the nodule causes compression of blood vessels in the neck. In general, thyroid nodules are not associated with dizziness, but in very rare cases, thyroid nodules of large diameter, located close to blood vessels and causing compression, may cause ischemia and hypoxia in the brain due to insufficient blood supply to the carotid artery, and patients may experience dizziness and headache. Patients are advised to undergo surgery to remove the larger thyroid nodules and relieve the compression of the blood vessels in the neck, thus relieving the dizziness and headache.
