How to treat infant hemangioma in the early stage

Infantile hemangioma is a common benign tumor in infants and young children. Most infantile hemangiomas have a growth cycle, and in the early stage, which is the early rapid proliferation stage, treatment is usually based on conservative observation. Some hemangiomas may appear as blue-purple with unclear borders, and the size varies according to the physical condition of the infant. Hemangiomas are self-limiting and may heal on their own, so changes in hemangiomas are often observed conservatively at the beginning. Some early hemangiomas can also be treated with propranolol and glucocorticoid drugs under the guidance of doctors. These drugs can block the cell cycle of hemangiomas and reduce the level of angiogenic factors such as matrix metalloproteinases and endothelial cells, thus blocking the nutrient supply to hemangiomas and thus reducing the role of hemangiomas, which is relatively safe and effective for infants. If the effect of conservative treatment is not satisfactory in the early stage of hemangioma and the tendency to continue to increase, local surgical excision, laser or liquid nitrogen freezing can be used for treatment, and isotope dressing and X-ray irradiation can be applied to gradually shrink the tumor and eventually achieve complete cure.
