What are the ct enhancement features of hepatic hemangioma

CT enhancement features of hepatic hemangioma mainly have uniform density and clear boundary mass shadow. Hepatic hemangioma is a benign tumor of benign liver lesions, which is mainly distinguished from malignant neoplastic diseases such as primary liver cancer or metastatic liver cancer. In the arterial phase, the enhancement of hepatic hemangioma is not obvious, but in the delayed and portal phases, the amount of contrast inside the hemangioma will gradually increase and the enhancement is very obvious. CT plain scan shows low density, homogeneous density, and well-defined border mass shadow. On enhancement, the lesions in the arterial stage are more extensive, with punctate and C-shaped ring enhancement at the edges of the lesions. The portal venous phase tends to fill from the periphery to the center, and when the delay period is about 5-10 minutes, the lesion will fill in as isointense with the same density as the surrounding background liver. If the lesion is small and the patient is asymptomatic, it can be left untreated. If symptoms such as abdominal pain develop, seek prompt medical attention and follow the doctor’s instructions to determine the need for treatment.
