Interventional treatment for liver cancer is divided into several types, and the commonly used ones nowadays are radiofrequency ablation, interventional embolization therapy, hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy, etc. Nowadays, the interventional treatment for liver cancer is chemoembolization of liver cancer, also known as TACE, which is a more popular treatment or therapy. It is also a kind of chemotherapy, but not a pure chemotherapy. It is to use the femoral artery as a needle-taking point, insert the catheter at the entry point, enter the catheter tip into the hepatic innominate artery, inject embolic agents such as iodine oil, gelatin sponge, etc. into the area, and can be combined with other chemotherapeutic drugs such as epirubicin, mitomycin, 5-fluorouracil, etc. for complementary treatment at the time of injection. This treatment method is minimally invasive, and the amount of drugs used is generally smaller, and the side effects are lighter compared with systemic chemotherapy, i.e. intravenous infusion chemotherapy. The other two are not chemotherapy.
