Sleeping hands and feet tingling is what happened

Sleeping with numbness in the hands and feet, two factors should be considered: first, nerve factors: nerve aspects to consider the central nerve and peripheral nerves. Central nerve mainly refers to the cervical spinal canal or thoracic spinal canal and lumbar spinal canal nerve compression caused by the numbness of the innervated area. For example, in cervical spondylosis and lumbar disc herniation, numbness in the hands and feet will occur in the area innervated by the compressed nerve, which is the central nerve. Next, we should consider the entrapment syndrome of peripheral nerves. The upper limbs are mainly elbow canal syndrome, ulnar canal syndrome, and carpal tunnel syndrome. It causes radial nerve and ulnar nerve median nerve compression, which can cause limb numbness in the upper extremity. The most common nerve compression in the lower extremity is the common peroneal nerve compression. The common peroneal nerve compression usually causes pain, numbness and sensory loss in the lateral dorsum of the lower leg and the plantar aspect of the foot, accompanied by limited ankle movement and foot drop. Second, vascular factors: blood vessels if there is an occlusion, venous thrombosis, plaque formation, hand or foot blood supply is affected, it will cause numbness in the hands and feet. Therefore, if the hands and feet are numb when sleeping, the first consideration is this two factors, the nerve factor and the vascular factor.
