If you want to develop antibodies to hepatitis B in your body, you can usually do so by getting the hepatitis B vaccine. The time to produce antibodies varies depending on the body type and the sensitivity of the immune mechanism of each individual. The hepatitis B vaccine is administered in 3 doses, following the 0th, 1st and 6th month immunization schedule, i.e. the 1st dose is followed by the 2nd and 3rd doses at 1 month and 6 months intervals. Most people begin to develop protective antibodies after the second dose of hepatitis B vaccine. It is recommended that a blood test be performed 1-2 months after the third dose of the vaccine to see if the body has developed surface antibodies to hepatitis B. If the report shows surface antibodies to hepatitis B (+), then the body has developed antibodies. For those who do not respond to the 3-dose immunization program, they can receive 3 more doses and have their serum tested for antibodies 3 months after all the doses have been given. After hepatitis B vaccination, patients should not engage in strenuous physical activity and should rest more to avoid affecting the effect of the vaccine.
