Diagnostic basis for pox rash

Pox can be very lethal, its virulence is strong, the death rate is as high as 30%, the effective infectious dose is small, 50-100 viruses can cause infection, there is no specific treatment drugs. The early symptoms of pox sores before rash are similar to those of other infectious diseases, such as influenza, encephalitis, meningitis typhoid, and toxic scarlet fever, so diagnosis of pox sores can only be based on epidemic reports, otherwise it is very difficult to identify. Pox is a virulent infectious disease caused by smallpox virus. The main manifestations are high fever, generalized aches and pains, nausea and vomiting, batches of skin rashes, papules, herpes, pustules, and finally crusting, decrusting, and leaving pox scars (commonly known as pockmarks). It should be distinguished from chickenpox. The early stage of chickenpox is leukocytoclastic vasculitis, which occurs in children, without scaly papules, hemorrhagic necrosis and scar formation. In contrast, the disease is surrounded by lymphocytic infiltration around the blood vessels.
