Night sweats are Yin or Kidney Yin deficiency

Night sweating is yin deficiency, but not necessarily kidney yin deficiency. Kidney yin deficiency is only considered if there are manifestations related to kidney yin deficiency, such as lumbar and knee soreness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee regions).
In Chinese medicine, night sweating refers to sweating at night after going to sleep, and the sweating stops after waking up, and the appearance of this symptom mainly indicates yin deficiency.
However, night sweating does not necessarily indicate kidney yin deficiency, and other symptoms need to be considered.
If night sweating is accompanied by symptoms such as soreness of the waist and knees, tinnitus and deafness, insomnia, forgetfulness, impotence and premature ejaculation, spermatorrhea, and irregular menstruation, then it is considered to be a kidney yin deficiency. It can be treated with medicines that nourish kidney yin, such as Liu Wei Di Huang Wan.
If discomfort occurs should be timely consultation, avoid self-medication, affecting their own health.
