Progressively enlarged thoracic lymph nodes

Case: Xiao Jiang, who is in his early twenties, is about to graduate from college and find a job, but for several years he has been troubled by a troubling matter for him and his parents. Four years ago, because of coughing, he found a mass in the right anterior superior mediastinum and right upper lung, which is particularly close to the superior vena cava and pulmonary artery. You do not need surgery for this disease. The lymph node hyperplasia is a benign disease, but some doctors told him that there is no certainty to remove the mass in this position, and the surgery is quite difficult. So Jiang’s parents came all the way to our hospital for treatment. The preoperative examination found that Xiao Jiang’s hemoglobin, albumin and a series of immune indexes were abnormal, and today, with careful preparation, our treatment team led by Professor Zhou Qinghua, a nationally renowned lung tumor specialist, surgically removed the chest lesion. The main surgeon, Prof. Zhou Qinghua, carefully separated the tumor from these important vessels and removed all the chest lesions smoothly and completely. Analysis: Through a series of preoperative examinations, it was analyzed that the possibility of Castleman’s disease or lymphoma was more likely, and the pathological results would be revealed in a week. For young people who find tumors in the chest and lungs, regardless of benign or malignant, if there is no contraindication, it is recommended to remove the tumors in order to prevent them from gradually increasing and losing the opportunity to be removed, or from growing up and causing extrusion and adhesion to the surrounding important tissues and organs before surgery, which will increase the difficulty and trauma of surgery.
