Sometimes it heals, often it helps, always it comforts!

Today I received a gift from a discharged patient – a bag of radishes. I have received banners, thank you letters, and various gifts, and as a doctor, I should not have accepted them, but almost all of them were sent by patients after they were discharged from the hospital, and I can appreciate a patient’s sincere gratitude to the doctor, just like this bag of radishes. Sometimes my colleagues ask me, as an attending physician with professors above me, why many patients are willing to come to me for anything and often thank me after they are discharged from the hospital. . I think, as a doctor, the first thing is to become a trustworthy and dependable person for the patient, to become a person that the patient is willing to talk to, and in many cases the cure is to treat the heart. I like the phrase “sometimes healing, often helping, always comforting”! Eating the radish, I felt that the fatigue of the day’s surgery had disappeared in a flash! Thank you patients! Thank you for the love!
