Hazards of minimally invasive lung surgery

Minimally invasive lung surgery has many benefits, such as less trauma, faster recovery, and less pain. But as long as surgery is performed, there are side effects and hazards. Sudden and unexpected bleeding during surgery requires an emergency chest opening to stop the bleeding, which can cause delays. In addition, the patient will have a persistent cough after surgery, mainly due to the residual nail in the lung when the instruments are applied for cutting and suturing during the operation. This is a foreign body to the patient and can cause a persistent cough after surgery, sometimes for two to three months and not very well after medication. These are the hazards of minimally invasive surgery.
