1. Clinical criteria When a fragility fracture occurs, it can be diagnosed as osteoporosis. A fragility fracture is a fracture caused by a non-traumatic or minor traumatic situation, such as an injury caused by a fall on a flat surface or at the height of the body’s center of gravity, a cough, sneeze, or a bump that causes a fracture. 2.Dual energy bone density examination The examination site is two of the three: lumbar spine, hip and forearm. ① Postmenopausal women and men over 50 years old, T value as the standard (perimenopausal women refer to this standard) ——————————————————— Normal T value ≥ -1 Low bone mass T value between -1 and -2.5 Osteoporosis T value ≤ -2.5 Severe Osteoporosis T value ≤ -2.5 with one or more fragility fractures ——————————————————— ② For children, young adults, men younger than 50 years old, and premenopausal women, Z value is used as the criterion. ——————————————————— Z-value >-2.0 means “BMD within the age range” Z-value ≤-2.0 means “BMD lower than that of the same age group” ———————————————————
