Smoking leads to scarring experts say that if you want to be beautiful, smoke less, according to the British “Daily Mail” reported that a recent study showed that smoking not only makes the skin wrinkled, but even leaves unsightly scarring on the skin after growing acne. That’s why people, especially teenagers, are advised to stay away from cigarettes. There are some pimples that are not easy to spot that can damage the skin, especially when people squeeze these pimples with their hands, leaving unsightly marks on the skin, which are called keloids. People who are prone to change acne are more likely to develop scarring. For smokers, on the other hand, they were more likely to develop scarring after having acne. The study looked at 992 patients with acne-related skin conditions over an eight-year period to see how well they formed scarring. Although smokers are unlikely to all develop acne, when they do, the damage it does to their skin is severe. According to the data, 53.7 percent of smokers had severe scarring, while only 35 percent of non-smokers had scarring.
