What are the symptoms of recurrence of nephritis

Patients with recurrent glomerulonephritis will have symptoms such as swelling of both lower limbs and puffy eyelids. If glomerulonephritis improves and symptoms disappear after active treatment, laboratory tests are within normal limits. However, if glomerulonephritis recurs due to cold, infection, exertion and other factors, patients may have symptoms such as swelling of both lower limbs, poor circulation, weakness, elevated blood pressure, foamy urine, red urine, and weakness of the waist and knees. These symptoms are caused by the recurrence of glomerulonephritis, which causes protein to appear again in the urine, resulting in a decrease in albumin in the body, and therefore hypoproteinemia, causing swelling, weakness, and poor circulation. Generally, hormones and immunosuppressive drugs are given for treatment. During the treatment period, patients should avoid cold, infection, exertion and other triggering factors to avoid frequent recurrence of the disease.
