Our department is the first urological department in Handan to carry out percutaneous nephrolithotomy for stone extraction. At present, we have completed more than 200 cases of minimally invasive surgery for urinary stones. We have introduced APL pneumatic ballistic lithotripter and German Dornier Holmium laser lithotripter; we have adopted ultrasonic X-ray CT stone localization system suitable for different stone patients, which has brought gospel to the urinary stone patients in our city. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy, also known as hole extraction, is a method to remove stones from the kidney without surgery (traditional open surgery requires an incision of about 100mm-200mm on the body and breaking open the renal pelvis or renal parenchyma to remove stones), percutaneous nephrolithotomy only requires a slim puncture needle to enter the kidney directly from the back and place a ureteroscope through a small hole with a diameter of only 5-6mm (chopstick tip size). In the working channel, the stone is broken up by pneumatic ballistic lithotripter and then clamped out, and monitored by ultrasound guidance or X-ray fluoroscopy. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy, with high success rate, is the first choice for most kidney and ureteral stones, and can replace traditional surgery to remove stones, with the advantages of less pain, less trauma, less complications, faster recovery, no scars after surgery, wide range of indications, etc., and can be discharged in about 5 days. Suitable for: any stone larger than 0.6cm in diameter in the upper end of kidney and ureter that cannot be discharged by itself; especially suitable for patients with multiple stones, cast stones, deerstalker stones, patients who have previously undergone open surgery and children and elderly who are afraid of pain and have poor tolerance.
