Hemangioma is a type of benign tumor consisting of new blood vessels, mostly occurring in infants or children, with an incidence of 4-8%. Hemangioma is a general term for the abnormal growth or malformation of all blood vessels, which may occur in deep tissues, muscles and internal organs such as the liver, in addition to the skin. There are four common types of hemangiomas that grow on the skin, classified by clinical manifestations: nevus, strawberry hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma, and mixed hemangioma. Some hemangiomas continue to grow, while others have not changed much since birth. They seriously affect the appearance of young children and can cause a lot of psychological stress to them when they grow up. The most common type of hemangioma is the occipital nevus, which is found in about 1/3 of the population. It is commonly seen at 5 days of life and is initially damaged as a well-defined pale red spot, which becomes clearer when the child cries or when the skin is flushed. For different hemangiomas, different methods should be used to treat them as early as possible in order to achieve results. Care methods: 1. Keep your baby’s body clean and bathe often to avoid sweat soaking the epidermis of hemangioma. Capillary hemangioma has superficial epidermal hemangioma, the epidermis is extremely thin, and if it is immersed in sweat for a long time, it is easy to rupture. In addition, parents should also pay special attention when bathing, do not cut the baby hemangioma. 2. Give your baby frequent nail trimming. Infants like to scratch with their hands, especially their faces. Therefore, the baby’s nails should be trimmed frequently to avoid scratching the hemangioma. 3. If you find out that your baby has hemangioma, you should consult a professional doctor in time to determine the type of hemangioma and do your daily observation.
