Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic encephalopathy usually do not survive for too long, at most 10-15 days. The shorter one may be a few hours. As liver cancer leads to hepatic encephalopathy, it is an advanced stage of liver cancer, and basically liver function is in a state of failure when suffering from hepatic encephalopathy. Many toxic products cannot be effectively degraded and cleared out of the body as well as effective prothrombin substance and active protein cannot be effectively synthesized, resulting in hepatic encephalopathy and increased blood ammonia causing neurological syndrome which can be life-threatening and can lead to liver coma and death. Therefore, the survival time of patients with hepatic encephalopathy of liver cancer is not too long, it may be a few hours or a few days, but at most, it will not exceed half a month.
