Toxic diffuse goiter is often seen with three major symptoms: 1) hypermetabolic cluster; 2) goiter; and 3) thyroid ophthalmia. The hypermetabolic group is a manifestation of hyperthyroidism, which is called toxicity. This is due to hyperthyroidism, which produces too much thyroid hormone in the blood and causes changes in the body due to excessive T3 and T4, resulting in changes in the hypermetabolic syndrome. The symptoms include panic attacks, weight loss, hand tremors, sweating, excessive food and hunger, emotional arousal, easy diarrhea, and a slimmer body shape, which are the changes of hypermetabolic syndrome. An ultrasound can reveal an enlarged thyroid gland. Thyroid ophthalmia, such as protrusion of the eyes by looking down and double vision, is called a manifestation of angry eyes. These are the three main types of manifestations of toxic diffuse goiter. Toxic diffuse goiter is often seen in hyperthyroidism, called toxic diffuse hyperthyroidism, as well as in thyroid nodules and subacute thyroiditis caused by hypermetabolism. And subacute thyroiditis also has symptoms of toxicity, such as heartburn, hand tremors, and weight loss. But it also has special signs, which are the manifestation of thyroid pain and fever, which is one of the signs of toxic diffuse goiter.
