1. Maintaining a good mood, positive and optimistic attitude towards life and work is the easiest means to effectively avoid thyroid diseases, especially thyroid cancer. Studies have reported that the incidence of thyroid cancer in female patients is about 6 times higher than that in male patients. Among them, besides being related to female hormones, mental and emotional factors also tend to lead to hormonal disorders, resulting in the occurrence of malignant tumors. 2. Avoid exposure to radioactive substances as much as possible, especially for infants and children. Radiation exposure or exposure to radioactive substances is one of the high-risk factors leading to thyroid cancer. 3.Avoid excessive and long-term consumption of foods with excessive iodine content. 4.Patients with thyroid nodule disease already detected, especially thyroid adenomatosis and nodular goiter, such as those who do not undergo surgery for the time being, should have regular follow-up examinations, usually 6 months to 12 months, to check neck ultrasound, thyroid hormone levels and thyroid stimulating hormone levels (TSH), and to give active diagnosis and intervention once abnormal enlargement of nodules and significant changes in hormone levels occur. 5. Patients with family history of thyroid cancer and those with previous history of thyroid cancer are at high risk of thyroid cancer and thyroid cancer recurrence, so they should pay more attention to it and must be reviewed regularly. 6. Most thyroid nodules, especially benign nodules, grow slowly and are not easily detected, and many of them are found during physical examination through doctor’s palpation and ultrasound examination, therefore, it is important to have regular physical examination, at least once a year. Ultrasound examination of the neck is the most effective means of early detection of thyroid nodules. For women, more attention should be paid to thyroid checkups. 7. If symptoms of hyper- or hypothyroidism, or sudden hoarseness, dyspnea, or dysphagia appear, you should go to the hospital promptly to rule out thyroid disease. 8. Individuals should regularly observe or touch their thyroid gland in their daily life to find out if there is any obvious enlargement, bilateral asymmetry, swelling formation, etc. and seek medical attention promptly if abnormalities are found. For female friends and older friends should pay more attention to self-examination in their daily lives.
