Brain metastasis of liver cancer is a very poor prognosis, and the natural survival period is within 1-3 months. After brain metastasis of liver cancer, it depends on the number of metastases, the location of metastases, and the kind of treatment done for liver cancer itself. If liver cancer is resected by radical surgery and the brain metastasis is single, stereotactic radiotherapy can be done for the single brain metastasis and then combined with targeted drugs, such as sorafenib, regorafenib or lenvatinib, etc. Currently, immune checkpoint inhibitors are also effective in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, such as pablizumab. In conclusion, the prognosis of liver cancer brain metastasis is very poor, and the survival time depends on the number and location of metastases as well as the condition of liver cancer, so it cannot be generalized.
