Can shock kill you?

Shock can be fatal because it is an acute systemic circulatory disorder or circulatory failure caused by various causes acting on the organism. It is usually caused by microcirculatory disorders, resulting in inadequate perfusion of vital organs, which leads to abnormalities in cellular and organ function and metabolism, resulting in systemic multi-organ failure and death. The most common is acute ischemia of the heart muscle, leading to cardiac arrest and death. Therefore, when shock occurs, resuscitation treatment should be given immediately, and it is usually necessary to go to the hospital and establish intravenous access for rapid rehydration to expand blood volume. In case of hemorrhagic shock, blood transfusion must be requested immediately. In addition, we must find and treat the original cause, if it is caused by allergy, give anti-allergy treatment; if it is hemorrhagic shock, we must immediately arrange surgical treatment to stop bleeding; if it is cardiogenic shock, we should immediately find its cardiac causes, so as to do the corresponding treatment.
