What diseases should be distinguished from neurosis syndrome?

       Neuroleptic syndrome is a group of symptoms similar to neurasthenia caused by certain chronic physical diseases. The main features of neurasthenia are mental arousal and brain fatigue, sleep disorders, memory loss, headache, etc., accompanied by a variety of physical discomfort and other symptoms, the course of the disease is prolonged, and the symptoms are sometimes mild and severe. Most patients suffering from neurasthenia will be confused with other diseases, we will look at the following diseases that are easily confused with neurasthenia.  1. Mental disorders caused by somatic infections: At the end of acute infections or during the recovery period, patients show inattention, memory loss, general discomfort, aches and pains, nervousness, emotional instability, mental depression, shallow sleep and dreaminess. These symptoms gradually recover with the improvement of the general condition of the body, which is different from the neurasthenia patients.  2.Craniocerebral trauma: Patients may have headache, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, anxiety, palpitations, poor concentration, poor memory, tinnitus, insomnia and other symptoms after craniocerebral trauma. This can be diagnosed as post-traumatic brain injury neurosis.  3, cerebrovascular disease: In cerebrovascular disease, patients can have symptoms similar to neurasthenia, showing emotional irritability, palpitations, sleep disorders, dizziness, tinnitus, easy fatigue, lack of concentration, poor memory, etc. These symptoms often fluctuate.  4.Toxic mental disorder: In the lighter or early stage of poisoning patients show brain debilitation syndrome, manifesting persistent headache, head sinking, head tightness, fatigue and weakness, insomnia, memory loss, inattention, palpitations, etc. The diagnosis can be made based on their toxic history.  5.Endocrine disease: Patients often show symptoms of emotional instability, inattention, poor memory, slow reaction and sleep disorder when endocrine dysfunction is present. These symptoms disappear with the improvement of the primary disease.  6.Fatigue: When people are under intense mental work for a long time, if they do not pay attention to proper rest, they can produce excessive fatigue, headache, dizziness, forgetfulness, lack of concentration and insomnia, etc. But after proper rest, the symptom group of fatigue will disappear.  7.Depression: In mild depression, there can be dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, fatigue and weakness and somatic discomfort, etc., and there is depressed mood, negative pessimism, lack of confidence in one’s ability to work and health status, and negative perception. There is a pattern of morning heaviness and evening lightness.  8, schizophrenia: early stage can be manifested as insomnia, headache, easy fatigue, lack of concentration, emotional instability, lack of enthusiasm for work. The ability to learn and work decreases, and as time lengthens, the characteristic symptoms of schizophrenia appear, at which point the diagnosis is made.
