Consultation and Consultation Notes

  1. Patients with complex or more serious conditions would like to be accompanied by a knowledgeable relative or friend. It is convenient to provide medical history. 2.Patients who have been treated with multiple medications, please provide information on previous medications. Include: the name of the drug, treatment dose, treatment time, treatment effect. 3. The interval between the first few visits of out-of-town patients may be only 2 weeks. We hope you have the determination to maintain regular clinic visits. Most mental illnesses are chronic and require persistent treatment. It is unrealistic to hope that you will be able to solve the problem after only 1-2 visits. 4. Important mental illnesses may require years of treatment. Especially if your condition is stable after good results from treatment, you must insist on regular outpatient visits and take your medication according to my treatment plan. You should not trust the opinions of others and adjust your treatment plan at will. It is important to choose a doctor to maintain a long-term therapeutic relationship for the treatment of mental illness. This is not required just when the condition is bad, but more importantly, when it is stable. The key to treatment is long-term (many years) stability of the condition. 5. Many of my friends ask for advice here, hoping to get answers. However, no detailed information is provided. It is important to understand that treating mental illness is not a simple matter. A very high level doctor may consider more complex issues and therefore may need more detailed information. Also, not every question I can answer. Because there are questions that cannot be explained by current medicine, and others that require much background expertise to explain or are too large to answer in detail here. Claims and notes that are not made by our doctors are meaningless. All the folklore claims are nonsense. If I don’t give specific answers it is for these reasons, not that I don’t see your questions. Many of the questions I do not answer are essentially meaningless to you in practical terms, especially in terms of patient care, and the requests I make are very important and you must pay attention to them. 6. Many patients’ families want to be involved in the diagnosis and treatment themselves, which is very unrealistic, and no family member has ever succeeded, but instead seriously interfered with the treatment. So as family members are should not try to learn diagnostic and treatment techniques, but learn to effectively present the condition to the doctor and listen to the doctor’s advice. Execute the doctor’s request without compromise. The doctor’s task is to diagnose and treat, and the family’s responsibility is to perform and reflect the condition. Only then can the division of labor be good. I hope the family members who consult with me understand this. Only by doing this can they truly benefit from my consultation. You can never be a doctor, much less a specialist. Many self-righteous ideas often lead to the failure of treatment. At the same time, many people hope to know the cause of the disease through a doctor or presume to know the cause of the disease, thinking that “the heart has to cure the heart”. These are all extremely wrong. I will not answer these meaningless questions in my consultation. If you insist on discussing these issues with me, I will stop consulting with you.
