Diarrhea after gallbladder removal

In patients after cholecystectomy, if diarrhea occurs after surgery, especially in patients with steatorrhea, it is mostly considered that the patient is suffering from a condition due to disturbance of bile excretion in the patient’s bile duct after cholecystectomy. At this time, it is recommended that patients actively consider taking intestinal flora regulating drugs and ursodeoxycholic acid for active treatment, which generally requires patients to be treated for about 7-10 days, and the symptoms can be significantly relieved. For normal people, if there is dysbiosis and gastrointestinal dysfunction, diarrhea may also occur in patients. At this time, the patient needs to be further examined in the routine stool, and if it suggests the presence of pus cells, we should actively consider taking further drugs such as enteritis tablets or levofloxacin hydrochloride for active treatment. However, levofloxacin hydrochloride tablets are not recommended for children under 18 years of age or for minors.
