Pseudo acromegaly does not usually subside completely. In men, pseudo acromegaly manifests itself as a pearly rash on the edge of the glans or as a papule on the side of the tether, commonly in circumcised individuals, due to local inflammation and stimulation of the prepuce, poor hygiene or friction. The pseudo acromegaly of women is manifested by the hairy labia minora, which is caused by poor local cleanliness, inflammatory stimulation, or gynecological diseases.
