The anti-HIV drug lopinavir/ritonavir can be tried in the treatment of novel coronavirus pneumonia. This drug is the treatment recommended in the National Health and Wellness Commission’s “Pneumonia Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection (Trial Version 3)” and is still recommended in the “Pneumonia Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection (Trial Version 4)”. The disease has been effectively controlled after initial clinical trials, but it is not certain whether it is effective for all people.
