How to treat headache in lung cancer patients

The treatment of headache for lung cancer patients mainly depends on what is the cause of headache caused by lung cancer. If the headache is caused by brain metastases, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or surgical resection should be done to treat the brain metastases. If it is a single brain metastasis, it can be surgically removed; if it is a multiple brain metastasis, it needs to be treated with systemic drugs such as chemotherapy or targeted therapy on top of whole brain radiotherapy. In addition, headache can be caused by fever, and lung cancer can cause fever. For headache caused by fever, the main treatment is to use antipyretic and analgesic drugs, such as fenbendazole and ibuprofen for symptomatic treatment. If the headache is caused by combined venous thromboembolism, anticoagulation treatment is needed in this case.
