Orbital tip hemangiomas may compress the motoneural nerve, depending on the size of the hemangioma and the location of the growth. If the hemangioma is large or growing next to the arterial nerve, it may compress the arterial nerve. If the hemangioma is small or grows away from the oculomotor nerve, it will generally not compress the oculomotor nerve.
1. Compression of the oculomotor nerve: If the hemangioma is large or grows next to the oculomotor nerve, it may compress the oculomotor nerve. If the arterio-ocular nerve is compressed, vision loss, visual field defect, eye movement disorder, dizziness and other uncomfortable symptoms may occur.
2. Will not compress the oculomotor nerve: If the hemangioma is not big or grows far away from the oculomotor nerve, it usually will not compress the oculomotor nerve.
If you are suffering from hemangioma of orbital tip, you should go to the hospital for regular checkups and targeted treatment, and do not diagnose and treat the tumor by yourself, so as to avoid more serious consequences.
