What you don’t know about gout

Gout is currently our second most common metabolic disease, affluenza and emphysema (mostly due to diet). About 130 million people in China suffer from hyperuricemia and 80% of them have gout due to their urate crystals deposited at the joints. Gout is a metabolic disease mainly due to disorders of purine metabolism and impaired uric acid excretion, resulting in red, swollen, and painful joints. This metabolic disorder reflects problems with the metabolism of the internal organs (liver and kidneys) of the gout patient, such as the load on the internal organs caused by overeating and the weakening of the internal organs caused by staying up late. The most common manifestation of gout is often in the toe joints, which account for 50-90% of gout patients, because the feet are more mobile and more prone to injury. People at high risk of gout: people with three highs, socializing, eating, and obesity; and men > women. Statistics show that the ratio of men to women is usually 20:1, because estrogen in women’s bodies can promote uric acid excretion, thereby inhibiting arthritis attacks. Men like to drink alcohol and eat purine-rich food, which leads to an increase in uric acid in the body. According to research, drinking 500 ml of beer can raise the blood uric acid in the body by one time. Diet advice for gout patients: because gout is uric acid salt crystals deposited, and the body physique shows acidity, so it is recommended that the diet is more alkaline food, low purine food. 1. Drink (1) water. The PH value of water is different in different areas and nature. Mineral water > 7.5, pure water is about 6.5, distilled water is about 6.2. Therefore, gout patients are recommended to drink mineral water. (2) Milk. Skimmed milk is preferable, and the amount should be noted. Yogurt and full-fat milk are higher in purines after decomposition. (3) Wine. Normal gout patients because of the prohibition of alcohol, if you want to drink a moderate amount of alcohol can choose red wine, although red wine is high purine wine, but some of the components in red wine helps uric acid metabolism. And high alcohol content of white wine because of ethanol, decomposition of lactic acid, causing difficulties in the body uric acid metabolism; beer should be strictly prohibited. 2, food (1) meat. It is a medium purine food, the smaller the size of the animal, the higher the purine content. (2) seafood. Purine content is three times that of meat, with the highest shelled seafood. Seafood and beer together, the most likely to cause hyperuricemia, coastal cities seafood barbecue with beer is a favorite of the locals. ”Gout” is a lifelong disease, adjustable recovery, can not be cured, once the diet problems can be relapsed. But we also know that ignorance of the disease is even more frightening, and there are many people who take medication indiscriminately. Building health awareness and investing in health should be a concept that we need to slowly embrace now. We should know that being healthy is a way to reduce stress for future generations. For the sub-healthy, when you are aware of your health problems, but do not have the energy and time to self-regulate, you need to use external forces, such as health food for health.
