Male Infertility – Testicular Biopsy

Testicular biopsy is often used to understand the spermatogenic function of the testes and to diagnose obstructive azoospermia. With the development of science and technology, testicular biopsy can now also be used to find “surviving” spermatozoa to treat male infertility; however, the cost of this method is too high and the efficacy is limited. However, outpatient clinics often encounter patients “active” request for testicular biopsy. Generally speaking, if testicular biopsy is not combined with treatment means, but simply diagnosed by biopsy, at the current stage of medical development, the significance is not great. Therefore, when patients go to regular hospitals and consult well-trained male doctors, they do not need to make such requests and should wait for the doctor’s arrangement.
