Whether breast adenoma should be operated or not is mainly based on the examination results and patient’s requirements. 1. Do not need surgery: If the breast adenoma is diagnosed as benign and the size is less than one centimeter, you can skip the surgery and go to the hospital for rechecking in 3 to 6 months. 2. Need surgery: If the breast adenoma is large in size, it usually needs to be surgically removed. In addition, if the patient has a need for pregnancy, surgery is required. This is because breast adenomas may increase in size or even become cancerous due to changes in hormone levels during pregnancy. If a patient is diagnosed with breast adenoma, he/she should go to a specialized hospital to complete the relevant examinations to determine the nature and size of the adenoma, and then listen to the advice of a specialized doctor to decide whether surgery is needed.
