Ductal papilloma is a benign lesion that occurs as a papillary growth in the ducts of the breast, but because it is a precancerous lesion of ductal papillary carcinoma, which means it has the possibility of malignant transformation, surgery is recommended for ductal papilloma. Breast duct papilloma is usually not easy to see on ultrasound, except for large duct papilloma, which may be visible on ultrasound. Sometimes it is not easy to feel the duct papilloma, but mainly in the areola area, sometimes you can feel the dilated ducts in the form of strips or small enlarged nodules with soft texture. The symptoms of breast duct papilloma are mainly nipple overflow and sometimes blood from the nipple. Ductoscopy can also be done to see the ductal papilloma directly, and a biopsy can also be taken. Although breast duct papilloma is benign, because it is a precancerous lesion, surgery is recommended when it is encountered.
