How to pay attention to the diet of liver cancer patients

How to pay attention to the diet of cancer patients? Chinese people have always paid more attention to diet, and it is very healthy for liver cancer patients to adopt proper diet care, as dietary adjustment does not want to bring serious harm to patients’ body as other treatment methods. Often, after liver cancer patients receive treatment, doctors will advise them what to pay attention to in their daily diet, and hope that liver cancer patients should strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to reasonably match their diet. 1. Reduce fat intake: As liver cancer patients have obstacles in digestion and absorption of fat. Therefore, especially in the arrangement of diet for advanced liver cancer, it is not advisable to consume too much fat. Foods such as fatty meat, fried foods, dried fruits and sausages should be forbidden. A low-fat diet can not only reduce the digestive symptoms of liver cancer patients, such as nausea, vomiting and abdominal distension, but also reduce the degree of pain in the liver area to a certain extent with less fat in the diet. 2. Food should be easily digestible: In the arrangement of diet for late stage liver cancer, special attention should be paid to give easily digestible food. There must be a certain amount of staple food, such as wheat flour, corn, sweet potato, millet, etc.; vegetables and fruits, such as tomato, rape, lettuce, cauliflower, kiwi, orange, strawberry, etc.; meat, soybean products, and milk and dairy products. 3.Appropriate tonic: Traditional Chinese medicine advocates “medicine and food are from the same source”, and also puts forward the new concept of “human tumor coexistence” in cancer treatment. Chinese medicine has no toxic side effects and can be used in dietary therapy to improve appetite and physical strength. At present, many Chinese herbs have been used in cancer treatment, and the most effective ones are Cordyceps sinensis, Ginsenoside Rh2 and Dendrobium ironbark. Among them, there are more research literature on ginsenoside Rh2. Therefore, the appropriate use of some traditional Chinese medicines is necessary in the dietary care for patients with advanced liver cancer. 4. Maintain a balanced diet: The physique of liver cancer patients are all acidic, which destroys the body and makes nutrition not fully absorbed. We must ensure sufficient nutrition and take in alkaline food to reverse the acidic constitution and make it alkaline. Patients are also required to eat more fresh vegetables and less acidic foods such as chicken, duck, fish, meat and so on.
