Osteoporotic fractures are a growing health problem, in which osteoporotic fractures of the vertebral body in the elderly are due to a decrease in bone mass and progressive changes in bone structure leading to a decrease in the mechanical strength of the bone. The current global incidence is on a significant increase and therefore we face a huge challenge in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. The prevention of osteoporotic fractures of the vertebral body in the elderly is important, and once they occur, they should receive prompt treatment. The advent of vertebroplasty (VP) and kyphoplasty (KP) has been a boon to patients with osteoporotic fractures. The minimally invasive vertebroplasty (VP) and kyphoplasty (KP) provide immediate pain relief, shorten bed rest, and improve the quality of life of patients.
