How to get drowsy in late stage of liver cancer

Late stage hepatocellular carcinoma drowsiness should be considered in the following two conditions: 1. chronic depletion, extreme weakness, malnutrition, and general weakness, lazy speech, and sleepiness of the patient in the state of cachexia, and consciousness is generally clear; 2. metabolic and detoxification function of liver of advanced tumor patients decreases, inducing hepatic coma, and consciousness is often unclear during drowsiness. When advanced hepatocellular carcinoma drowsiness occurs, patients must seek medical treatment in time, and after clear diagnosis, strengthen nutrition, supportive treatment or anti-hepatic coma and liver preservation treatment should be given according to the cause. Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma are in a state of high consumption, so they need to strengthen nutrition and supportive treatment, provide sufficient sugar, fat, protein, vitamins and minerals, promote appetite, and eat less and more meals. However, those who have history of hepatic coma or tendency to occur hepatic coma should control the intake of animal protein to prevent the massive decomposition of ammonia after high protein diet and induce ammonia toxic hepatic coma. Other triggering factors such as constipation, use of sedatives, massive diuresis, discharge of ascites, and gastrointestinal bleeding should also be avoided. Patients are advised to eat warm and soft, easily digestible food, keep the bowels open, maintain a good mood, and actively cooperate with treatment, which can promote physical recovery.
