Is foul-smelling leukorrhea a sign of cervical cancer?

Leukorrhea is a normal vaginal secretion. Normal leukorrhea is colorless, transparent and odorless, but if it has a foul and sour smell, it indicates a gynecological infection. Fishy smelling leukorrhea is usually seen in some anaerobic infections or trichomonas vaginalis. The foul smell is often caused by serious infections or tumors in the reproductive tract, severe endometritis or severe cervical erosion, especially in older women with foul-smelling bright red colored leucorrhea, often a sign of malignant tumors. Therefore, you must pay attention to the colposcopy, routine leucorrhea and tct examination to rule out malignant lesions and clarify the specific causes before treating them, so that you do not blindly use drugs to break the vaginal environment and aggravate the condition and cause repeated infections. Do not have intercourse within 24 hours before the white belt test, as the male partner’s semen and the spermicide on the condom will interfere with the doctor’s judgment. The night before the test, do not use any vaginal medication and do not wash the vagina, as this will wash away any abnormal secretions and potential cancer cells that may be detected through biopsy.
