What these people really have is not an STD, but a psychological disease, generally called “STD phobia” or “AIDS phobia”. These people can be seen in the following situations: 1, some people have a difficult to say for the first time to meet a doctor with bad intentions. In order to cheat patients out of more money, these doctors often describe minor diseases as major diseases, and non-STDs as STDs. These people are mentally depressed, all day long, until one day to the regular hospital after regular examination, by the doctor many times scientific explanation, clear some correct knowledge of STDs, AIDS, the fear of STDs, AIDS slowly disappeared. 2.Some people with higher education have had one or several experiences of unclean sex, and because they are afraid of suffering from STD and AIDS, they often take the initiative to find some books and information about it. These people often do not believe the doctor’s explanation, often travel between major hospitals, constantly changing the doctor they see, resulting in their physical and mental exhaustion and mental pain. 3, there are some more specific STD phobia, generally to parents with children is common. These parents often have a history of STDs on one or both sides, their fear of STDs is expressed in the fear that they will infect their children with STDs, and the psychological pressure is so great that they go to the doctor again and again. STDs are a group of diseases that are mainly transmitted by sexual intercourse, and most STDs can be cured at present. The doctor should be patient when finding out that the patient has a phobia of STDs and should explain to the patient in a timely manner, and if necessary, suggest that the patient seek treatment from a psychologist or psychiatrist, because STD phobia is a psychological or mental illness.
