How to recognize ADHD

According to the international diagnostic criteria, these children must have three characteristics: inattentiveness, impulsivity and hyperactivity.

  (2) Often do not listen to lectures.
  (3) Attention easily shifts with the situation.
  (4) It is difficult to concentrate on homework and other things that require long periods of concentration.

  (1) Tend to do whatever comes to mind.
  (2) Too often move from one activity to another.
  (3) Cannot do things in an orderly manner.
  (4) Needs supervision and care from others.
  (5) Often shouts loudly and suddenly in the classroom.

All of the above descriptions have some medical significance, so the application of the above diagnostic criteria must be done only under the care of a specialist, and not everyone can make a diagnosis of “ADHD” for a child by reading from a book.
New perspectives on the treatment of ADHD in children
Most scholars now believe that ADHD in children is an important aspect of child psychiatry and is a comprehensive and important issue in psychiatry, psychology and education. If ADHD does not heal well, personality disorders, antisocial behavior, impulsivity and poor interpersonal relationships will still exist in adolescence and adulthood, and it is still advocated that children with ADHD should be given appropriate medication once diagnosed. Medication is one of the most effective methods of treating ADHD, and when combined with other methods, such as psychotherapy, better treatment results can be received, and this medication may continue into early adulthood.
